File names contain the following abbreviations/codes:

WP - Wikipedia

DE - German 
EN - English 
EO - Esperanto 
ES - Spanish 
FR - French 
NL - Dutch 
PL - Polish 

TXT - Text-only file
IMG - File with images

PALM  - Files for Palm handhelds (use this file also for TR2 conversion to EPOC/SYMBIAN handhelds)
(P)PC - Files for Pocket PC handhelds and Windows PC's

1GB - Older text-only edition that still fits on a 1 Gb (gigabyte) memory card

Download:

After downloading a file you can validate it as follows: generate the so called 'MD5 checksum' 
from the file and look it up in md5sums.txt (also in this directory). If the checksum differs please download again.

For Windows users: a free tool to generate MD5 checksums can be downloaded at
http://www.blisstonia.com/software/WinMD5/
Run winmd5.exe and from explorer drag and drop the .tr3 file you downloaded onto the winmd5 window. 

Tip: for evaluation purposes, or when you are short on handheld memory, you can also download an older and
much smaller edition from directory 200312, 200412 or 200506.

Please make sure you have upgraded to a recent version of TomeRaider 3.

Older revisions of TomeRaider 3 may complain theat the file is not readable.

Tip 1:
TR3 Palm users: Don't forget you don't need to convert TR3 files to use them on the Palm, 
just rename the extension from *.tr3 to  *.pdb or use TR3 Windows, then HotSync.

Tip 2:
TR2 EPCO/SYMBIAN users: download a text-only file for the Palm platform, open the file in 
TomeRaider 3 for Windows (free evaluation version will do) and convert to TomeRaider 2. 

Tip 3: 
All handheld users: rename the file that you actually load on your handheld to a shorter name, 
but keep the extension the same, e.g. WP_ENG.tr3   This makes it easier to recognize the file 
in the TomeRaider file selection box.
